I chose to follow Ben Shapiro as my columnist because of all the sources I have heard about him from. Mostly what they told me about him was along the lines of, “he will give your views a run for their money, and isn’t afraid to put facts above feelings.” I personally like to see the truth or facts behind things and why they are the way they are. So seeing his name as one of the options available to study in the right-wing of columnists stuck my interest, since I usually tend to lean to the left.
Ben Shapiro was born January 15, 1984, in Los Angeles, California. He was raised in a Jewish family and later went on to skip grades third and ninth, graduating at an age of 16 (which surprised me). One of his most recognized accomplishments is becoming the youngest nationally syndicated columnist in the United States at the age of 17. The columns he writes for include Creators Syndicate and Newsweek, but he also has the role of editor-in-chief for The Daily Wire, which he founded. Ben Shapiro also hosts The Ben Shapiro Show, which is a daily political podcast. After finding out about his past and what he has accomplished, I am impressed, Intrigued even as to what all he has to offer in regards to his columns.
